A Guide to the City’s Best Kept Secrets

I was recently contacted by a content coordinator for Redfin to contribute to their blog titled, "hidden gems in Jacksonville Florida". Ana asked me to answer the following: " Your favorite “hidden gem” in Jacksonville - whether that’s a restaurant, café, bar, hiking trail, lookout point, unique attraction, or anything else specific to Jacksonville - and why you love this hidden gem. What makes it unique? Why is it a local favorite? "

I had four answers for her.

The Church of Eleven22 is one of Jacksonville’s most important staples. It’s am movement for ALL people to come and be a part of a big dysfunctional family in order to be loved, grow in our relationship with God and others. The worship is powerful and Joby Martin is an incredible teacher without the boring or finger pointing pastor feel.

Flying Iguana is our favorite go to taco date night. It’s spicy margarita is absolutely delicious, and those fried fish tacos are to die for. Couple that with the homemade guacamole made at your table, and it’s the perfect night in our little Neptune Beach town.

Crossfit Total Control in Jax Beach is Jacksonville’s most friendly gym. The athletes are all one big family trying to get stronger and continually learn new skills. With a crew of people cheering you on, your certain to hit all your fitness goals and end the session with high fives all around.

Cookies and Cream is our favorite go to date night ice cream spot. They are local beach owned and operated. And they have gluten free cookies as well as dairy free ice cream options. Sit out on their little game patio and enjoy the best ice cream in town. You won’t be disappointed.

In the end, Cookies and Cream won to be featured. We are so excited to have contributed to Redfin for Ana.
